the rock return to wwe

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, The 51-year-old made his WWE debut in September, revealing to Pat McAfee that he was in talks to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

But those plans fell through, which gave rise to speculation that he may make his much-awaited comeback the following year.

Now, after his incredible appearance at Monday Night RAW, it seems like those negotiations might soon come to pass.
As an added bonus, with The Rock back, viewership numbers increased by 9% over the previous year.

Within this nine percent increase, there was a 48 percent increase among individuals in the 18-49 age group and a 58 percent increase among those in the 18-34 age group, demonstrating once more the value RAW is providing for its younger audience.

1.75 million people watched on Monday thanks to the surprise return of Johnson and the highly anticipated match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, according to Wrestling Observer.

The 18–49 age group gave it a rating of 0.60, which is the highest since CM Punk made his shocking comeback.

The Raw show this Monday was also 13% higher than the one two weeks ago, even though it was merely a “best of” collection.

The show drastically declined after the Johnson segment, which drew 2.15 million people, but it rebounded for the Rollins vs. McIntyre main event.

If Johnson had been promoted, the number would have been greater because the only hint given prior to the show was that a former WWE champion would be making a comeback.
